Christmas Basket for Kids
Christmas time is here, which means it’s Christmas basket time! I love putting a few things together at the beginning of the month to bring in the holiday spirit and some fun activities too.
When I realized there are several holidays that we don’t get to celebrate until the end of the month, I had to find a way to make the whole month a celebration of the holiday. There is nothing better than a few crafts and books to add to the basket that can provide some entertainment for the month.
For this Christmas basket I was lucky enough to find some amazing things at Pinners Conference a few weeks ago and then I added some of the classic crafts, books and pajamas to celebrate the season!
Annabelle loves books, so I always love getting her a new holiday book to read throughout the season. I’ll be doing a favorite holiday books soon…my years as a teacher opened my eyes to how many incredible books there are for each holiday and occasion.
Books we Love: You’re My Little Christmas Wish, Red and Lulu, Dasher, The Polar Express, Little Blue Truck’s Christmas
The options of pajamas for a fun new outfit for the holidays are endless! Here are a few of my favorites that I’ve spotted this year.
Favorite Pajamas: Red & White Striped, Santa Jammies, Matching Elf Jammies, Dear Deer
As for crafts, I love discovering small shops that put so much work into their creations – FigLittles and Freckled Pine were both giving me all the excitement for the holidays when I found them! I also have a habit of checking the dollar spots at Target, Walmart, Michaels and all the other stores that tend to carry simple and easy crafts that are ready to go.
I hope this gives you a few fun ideas to help you celebrate the holidays all month long!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Kwanza and Happy Ramadan! May you enjoy the love and laughter of family and friend this holiday season!
